Our travel agency in Panama

Panama

Panama, the bridge between two oceans, is far more than its world-famous canal, where colossal ships transit daily and offer a mesmerizing spectacle from the Miraflores Locks.

In the Bocas del Toro archipelago, coral formations lie just a few fin strokes from the surface, where eagle rays and parrotfish weave through the reefs. The Talamanca mountain range, a natural border with Costa Rica, shelters the country’s highest peak: Volcán Barú (3,475 m). On clear days, its summit offers the rare privilege of gazing upon both oceans at once.

The cloud forests of Boquete echo with the songs of the resplendent quetzal, while Soberanía National Park is home to the harpy eagle, Panama’s emblematic bird of prey. On its small territory, Panama hosts no fewer than 978 bird species.

In Panama City’s Casco Viejo, crumbling colonial façades stand beside beautifully restored buildings. These cobbled streets are silent witnesses to the contrast between Spanish heritage and the commercial energy that has shaped the country’s identity.

The local agency TERRA Panama

In 2007, Jérôme, a nature travel enthusiast,  fell in love with Panama, where he still lives today. That same year, he created TERRA Caribea, bringing together both Panama and its smaller neighbor, Costa Rica. For over 15 years, TERRA Caribea and TERRA Panama have been designing unique journeys in these wild paradises.

Our strategic location, between the Caribbean and the Pacific, is one of our greatest strengths. With offices in both countries, we have become one of the main local operators in Central America, successfully running many cross-border trips.

With passion, TERRA Panama creates tailor-made journeys that combine discovery, authenticity, and environmental respect. Each itinerary is carefully crafted to deliver a unique, immersive, and sustainable travel experience.

Our commitment to Responsible tourism

At TERRA Panama, we are fully dedicated to sustainable tourism: constantly improving our internal practices, building responsible partnerships with local providers, and guiding travelers toward authentic, eco-conscious experiences. Every itinerary is designed to minimize environmental impact while highlighting and supporting local communities. This way, discovering Panama becomes both ethical and enriching.

What makes us unique

From a cacao ceremony with the Ngäbe-Buglé community to a jungle-to-canal expedition by trek and packraft, we create unforgettable encounters that reveal Panama as a true cultural crossroads between two worlds.

Seamless Organization

Our close collaboration with local providers and communities requires solid expertise in on-the-ground logistics, ensuring a smooth and immersive travel experience.

Beyond the Panama Canal

Panama is much more than modern engineering. With 6% of the world’s biodiversity and 80 protected areas, this small country has so much to offer to every kind of traveler. Glide by canoe on the Chagres River, admire giant starfish, taste Geisha coffee, sail on a private catamaran, visit family-owned fincas, or enjoy gentle cycling tours. Let Panama surprise you!
